Saint Adalbert is a University of Notre Dame Magnificat School!

This marks the beginning of a new partnership between the University of Notre Dame and Saint Adalbert School.

What it means to be a Magnificat School:

Through the partnership with the Alliance for Catholic Education and the University of Notre Dame, our school will flourish. Here is how the Magnificat Partnership will help us:

·         provide extensive supporting materials to help students in their work

·         create and deliver professional development for the staff so that they receive training in all academic areas

·         implement Instructional Coaching by providing a coach on staff 20 hours a week to work one-on-one with teachers

·         train our school board to work effectively

·         present workshops for parents to help their children succeed in school

·         introduce a program for ethical development of middle school students

·         enhance sports and coaching

·         train a Strategic Intervention Team to help teachers help low-achieving students

·         hold grant-writing workshops to help the school receive additional support

·         teach methods to increase the Catholic identity of our school

·         set and evaluate benchmarking goals

Over the course of five years the goals of the partnership are to increase student achievement, increase and stabilize enrollment, and decrease faculty turnover. Currently, there are only two Magnificat schools in the country! We want to make this a success, but it will take a community for this partnership to succeed. Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the Magnificat design team must work together to improve our school. We can make Saint Adalbert School a model that others may follow!
